uPortal Release Candidate coming soon!

Hi folks,

We are waiting on two PRs to be updated, then we should be good to go with a release candidate for the next and probably last uPortal 5 release. We ask that the community kick the tires on this RC to make sure we have little need for a patch for fixes.

After this release, we will begin the move to uPortal 6. What's in v6?

-  Minimum version of Java 17/21 (new language features in use!)

- Update to Tomcat

- Update to Gradle

- Update to Spring/Hibernate

- Modularizing the codebase

- Better support for session replication

Those are the big ones. We don't anticipate a lot of changes to configuration nor data files, but expect new requirements for Java version, Tomcat version, and some changes to the database structure.
