How does the deeplinkresponse iframe sizes work?

I have a dicussion with itslerning about the fect that Xerte (TSUGI) returns unusable sizes back to itslearning to place a (LTI1.3) Deeplink resource as en iframe in ItsLearning.

They pick up the thumbnail sizes, which obviously doesn't work.

From what I can see, the iframe sizes are only included in the DeeplinkResponse if they can be found in the DeeplinkRequest. Is that correct? Is that how it is supposed to work.
