Mec Movies - University of Cape Town
Lesson content to support the Mechanics of Materials courses. It included examples, games, theory and more.
Based on MecMovies 2.0 by Timothy Philpot [https://web.mst.edu/~mecmovie/] the material was reworked into a Tsugi tool by Denham Preen and supported and managed by Sa-aadat Parker.
User Experience:
The link in the Sakai site opens up a new window containing the welcome page of the Tsugi module.
As the student progresses through the sections and chapters various animations, examples and questions are shown to help them understand the concepts around the mechanics of materials. Their progress is saved and available for review by the lecturer on another page.
Limitations:
Currently most of the example content is shown in Flash movies and it is planned to translate them into HTML 5.
