Subject: Bug report for SSP 2.8.1

 

We are experiencing a bug with SSP version 2.8.1. Clickpath to replicate:

1. This issue appears to apply to ALL coaches, even if they do not have MAP_TEMPLATE_ADMIN rights
2. Select a student
3. Choose the MAP tool
4. Load a template
5. Make a modification (any: add/move/remove a class)
6. Click away from the MAP tool (e.g. Journal) without saving which triggers the “You have unsaved MAP data…” prompt correctly
7. Select “Yes”
8. This brings up dialog to save over the loaded TEMPLATE rather than save changes to the student’s MAP, which is not difficult to miss when not looking for this and incorrectly adjusts the template

 

In general, this seems like a rather simple fix (misdirected to the wrong save dialog), but can cause some rather large issues for a coach who misses that notice especially those who should not have access to edit/save templates.
