Hi all,

I suggest we move SCORM from contrib and into the main repo. Enough folks use it that we keep it running.

I think that putting it into core and doing simple QA on it for each release would be a smart thing.

We would be really clear which versions of SCORM *are* supported and which versions are not supported and that folks can’t file bugs that are of the form “My SCO did not work” unless it is the exact version(s) we support.

We could are a clarification in the tool text / description to make it clear what the expectations for the tool are.

We could stealth in release it but unstealth it for QA.

This is a great time to move it to core - well before the -25 code freeze to let things settle down.

WDYT? I “make the motion to promote”…

/Chuck

+1 to adding SCORM Player to Core. Even though SCORM is an old spec, there are still a lot of modern authoring tools that export to that format. I think we should support it as part of Core Sakai.

Yeah makes sense given that people still use the older SCORM format.
It would simply need some review to ensure that its libs and everything are up to date with those in master.
