GitHub Classroom LTI

Hi All,

 

Anyone out there using GitHub Classroom (https://classroom.github.com/). So, a faculty member here is using it and gave me the key, secret, URL to set up the LTI and Sakai is listed as one of the systems they support. Anyway, we’ve done some tweaking of settings and it now pulls in the roster; however, the primary issue is that, when the tool is selected, it initially goes to a page saying it is trying to launch and then one needs to then launch it manually. I adjust the various opening scenarios Never launch in Popup, Always launch in Popup, Allow popup to be changed, etc., etc.

 

Has anybody used this that might have some insight(s) to share?

Jim, I haven't played with github classroom in a bit but after trying it again I think we're experiencing the same. It won't work at all if it isn't launched in new window due to their x-frame-options and when it launches in the new window, it goes to https://classroom.github.com/auth/lti/launch and just hangs there, never redirects you. Click the 'login manually' link on that page does work and take me to the appropriate classroom though, so they are getting enough data to make the connection. 

Not sure what's going on. If I get anywhere, I'll update the thread.
