Hi all,

I am wondering if somebody can explain what the column TIME refers to for student view of samigo ?

I know it is not the time spent by the user on the quiz and it does not show for all our users for the same quiz.

Thanks,

Hi Mame,

If the instructor has made feedback available, it’s the amount of time that elapsed between when the student clicked Begin Assessment and when it was submitted.  The only case I can think of where the same quiz should show the time information for one student but not another would be if the “Only display feedback to the students scoring below” option has been enabled in the assessment settings.  A student who doesn’t get to see feedback because they scored over the specified percentage should not see the time information.

Here’s a help article listing the information that can display for students with submitted assessments when feedback has or has not been released: https://uvacollab.screenstepslive.com/s/help/m/students/l/634310-how-do-i-view-the-feedback-on-my-assessment-i-e-test-or-quiz

Hi Tiffany,

Is the column TIME meant for Timed assessments ? We are having non timed assessments that are rendering some erroneous times for students, for example:

Thanks,

Which version of Sakai are you running? There was an issue with how the
elapsed time was calculated which was fixed in 20.3 here:
https://jira.sakaiproject.org/browse/SAK-45010

Hope this helps.

HI Brian,

We are running 19.4 and we've integrated some jiras recently (the one below among them). We are testing to see which change integrated the new behaviour.
I am trying to find the real purpose of the field .

Regards,

Awa,
