Hello Sakai Developers,

I'm trying to get Sakai SCORM player working, but there is some serious issues playing the content. The upload goes well, and I can view/read the content of the uploaded SCORM, but when I'm trying to read the content with other users, it will give me this error:

Invalid State

Caught an exception looking for content packages, reason: user=b8db4764-f6c4-4d57-bae5-1739bfe450b2 lock=content.read resource=/content/private/scorm/96dfb12a-fad4-4e41-b465-7d805071c2a3/ This content package is in an invalid state. It may not have been properly closed, or the underlying data may have been corrupted. Please select "Abandon All". The page should refresh. At that point, select "Start". If the content package still does not play correctly, please get in touch with the instructor. It may be necessary to re-validate the content package to solve this problem.

Seems like some kinda permission error. I've tried to set permissions for content.read in admins site permissions -tool, but it does not change the situation.

Any idea why this happens?

Btw, would it be OK if I make error issues in JIRA about these kinda problems?

Br,
Arttu Pekkarinen

Hi Artu,

You are welcome to open issues in the SCORM project in Jira [1] . But I really don't know how active the community is. I suspect there is some interest, but not sure if there is significant community and leadership around this particular Contrib project.

Best,
Neal

Hi Artu,

Scorm player has its own permissions:
scorm.configure
scorm.delete
scorm.grade
scorm.launch
scorm.upload
scorm.validate
scorm.view.results

For read, the scorm.launch has to be checked.

Hope this helps,
Yun

Thank you for your reply

I've tried this already and it does not help.

I've set permissions for scorm and content, because the error message indicates that the problem is "lock=content.read"
Also tried to set permissions for resources as it also indicates that location of the package is in:

"resource=/content/private/scorm/96dfb12a-fad4-4e41-b465-7d805071c2a3/"

So I strongly think that this is permission issue, but setting the permissions for scorm and content does not help to solve it.

Br,
Arttu

Hi Arttu Pekkarinen,

After uploaded the SCORM lesson by account admin, going to site "My Workspace", left menu "Resources", expand folder "private" \ "scorm", select Action ", try to select "Show this folder" or "Hide this folder but allow access to its contents".

Repeat the above action for folder of your lesson under folder "private \ scorm".

Regards,

Thach
