Hello Apereo Community,
EDUCASUE is seeking
panelists for the 2024 Horizon Report | Teaching
and Learning Edition! Below you'll find the details.
I'm reaching out to the Apereo community as I think our
participation in the Horizon Report (and with EDUCASUE generally)
will help to raise the profile of Apereo and open source software
in higher education. I also hope it would provide anyone who
participates a bit of a professional bump.
If you're interested, please let me know and we can coordinate your nomination.
Thanks so much,
Patrick
Details:
Each year, a panel of higher education professionals from across the community contribute to a series of foresight-informed activities that inform the Horizon Report. We are seeking up to 70 highly engaged volunteers to commit 15 hours for synchronous activities and four hours for synchronous meetings between September 2023 and March 2024.
Serving as a panelist is an excellent way to contribute your expertise to one of our most popular publications and connect with your peers. You can expect:
- A virtual orientation on September 27, where we will discuss the Horizon Report panel process and fundamentals of strategic foresight, and engage in a few warm-up foresight activities
- Asynchronous virtual discussions and engagement with the panel beginning in September 2023 through February 2024 related to:
- Trends shaping holistic student experience in higher education.
- The technologies and practices that are likely to mitigate or accelerate these trends.
- A synchronous scenario-development session in January 2024
- 15–20 hours of your time devoted to this project
If you’re interested in serving on the 2024 panel, please visit EDUCAUSE Connect to learn more and apply. Deadline to apply is Wednesday, September 6.
If accepted, you may serve as a panelist for the EDUCAUSE Horizon Report | Teaching and Learning Edition for two consecutive years. The final report will be published in spring 2024.
If you have any questions about this opportunity, please contact me. I look forward to working with you!
Best,
Kathe Pelletier, EdD | Director
