Apereo has joined the OSPO Alliance!

What is OSPO Alliance?

The OSPO Alliance is an open community that brings and shares guidance to organizations willing to professionally manage the usage, contribution to, and publication of open source software. The Good Governance Initiative (GGI) proposes a methodological framework to assess and improve open-source trust, awareness and strategy within organizations. The OSPO OnRamp meeting series provides an open, neutral and friendly forum, low-threshold entry point to exchange and learn about the basics of how to set up an Open Source Program Office and get started with open source.


Why is this important for Apereo and Apereo communities?

Here are a few reasons!
Projects and members can find resources to help understand and develop campus-based Open Source Program Offices.
Helps to increase awareness of Apereo, Apereo projects, and the value/role of open source in higher education.
The partnership extends the relationships between U.S and E.U. based educational institutions and edtech.
#CRA -working with government, industry, and education to better understand the impact and develop a response to the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
