Hello, Teaching and Learning folks,
Sorry for the email blast, but I was recently contacted by a
significant, international open source software community (not an Apereo
project) looking for help (paid/retained capacity) in moderating their
discussion forums. I thought there might be folks in the Apereo
community interested in this opportunity.
Apparently, some of the discussions can get pretty heated, and keeping
folks on track and civil can be a challenge. I thought our instructional
design community, e-learning faculty, and others with experience in
creating and managing online courses--specifically discussion
forums--might be able to help (and make a little money too). Of course,
this position is open to any others working with our projects who have
expertise in managing online discussions; I just thought instructional
designers might have a professional interest.
I've asked the project to provide more detail to share with those who
express interest. Please feel free to share this widely and if you or a
colleague are interested let me know.
Thanks all, and let me know if you'd like more information,
Patrick
