Apereo OAE 12.4

Apereo OAE 12.4 will be rolled out to the production environment on Monday July 11 at 3am PT / 6am ET / 11am BST.

This release introduces the following features and enhancements:

• When using a Google Apps domain for authentication, users will now automatically be redirected to the Google Apps login page rather than having to first go through Google login page.
• It is now possible to add Markdown tables to comments and descriptions.
• User accounts for which the authentication provider has not supplied a valid name will remain private until the user has supplied a name.
• Improvements to the italics behaviour in comments and descriptions, causing not all words with an asterisk to automatically be made italic.
• Improvements to the REST API paging and its use in the User Interface.

We are not expecting any downtime associated to this upgrade. Once the upgrade has been completed, an update will be sent to this list.
