Does anyone know what Tomcat versions are compatible with CAS 3.5.2?

I'm aware it's EOL but upgrading is not currently an option, and I was unable to find this info by searching the web.

Thanks,

K

K,

I don’t know the exact answer but here’s some feedback based on my experiences:

What you need to figure out is what JDK you can run 3.5.2 on and then from there you can determine the latest version of the Tomcat container that might work.

I’ve seen 3.5.2 on Java 8 with Tomcat 7.

Since it will run with Java 8, I’d imagine Tomcat 8 would work.

Tomcat 9 requires Java 8 or later, so it’s possible that even Tomcat 9 would work.

It sounds like you’re aware of this, but the best idea would be to upgrade the CAS application as well.

Thanks,

Tom

Thank you, that is helpful

Do you know if the sub-version makes a difference? Eg if I'm running Tomcat 7.0.20, could I upgrade that to 7.0.anything?

Thanks,

K

We run in the past 3.x (cannot remeber exactly which version) with tomcat 7 on java 8
I would suggest to use last minor of tomcat 7 (should be 77 on memory)
