Successor of phpCAS or maintainer?

Hi Community,

the phpCAS project is looking for a maintainer and I wonder if there is an alternative library anyone can recommend in case it stays unmaintained.

The background is that it came to my attention while sending a PR that the ILIAS (learning management tool) will probably remove CAS auth if the library stays officially unmaintained.
