Hello Everyone,
I am setting up a CAS 5.1.3 and I am currently enabling throttling. In the past (on 4.2 and below) I’ve always done by ip address and allowed 1 attempt every 3 seconds. There are several setting that I am not sure about that do not seem to be defined in the documentation.
I copied the following from the documentation. I am unsure about how I tell it by ip address instead of username and ip address?
Also what is the appcode used for?
Thanks,
Nancy
cas.authn.throttle.usernameParameter=username
cas.authn.throttle.startDelay=10000
cas.authn.throttle.repeatInterval=20000
cas.authn.throttle.appcode=CAS
cas.authn.throttle.failure.threshold=1
cas.authn.throttle.failure.code=AUTHENTICATION_FAILED
cas.authn.throttle.failure.rangeSeconds=3
