Version of Apereo CAS recommended for production usage (5.3.x vs 6.0.x)

Hello all,

Im new to Apereo CAS and want to use it as SSO server in our solution.

Currently there are two Apereo CAS major versions, 5.3.x and 6.0.x.

Which of them do you recommend for production usage?

Is the 6.0.x version production ready?

I worry that it has not many production deployments, and there may be many uncovered errors yet.

I wonder if there are any production deployments per version statistic... any links would be great.
