Hi all,

Our call last Friday went well.

We're going to continue the conversation in the accessibility group, over at access...@apereo.org and in Apereo Slack https://apereo.slack.com .  I encourage you to sign-up by saying hi to accessibili...@apereo.org or visit https://groups.google.com/a/apereo.org/group/accessibility.  We updated the notes from Open Apereo at https://etherpad.nightly.sakaiproject.org/p/Accessibility_Across_Apereo

We’ll tentatively meet again September 22, 2017 at 9:00 Eastern, and quarterly from there on.

In the interim we can share best practices and test accessibility across projects. We're happy to talk on the list about Apereo project accessibility or general accessibility issues affecting Apereo members.  We might have to refer individuals to other resources, professionals or list like or the Athen list http://mailman13.u.washington.edu/mailman/listinfo/athen-list but hopefully it's a familiar place to start.

Thanks everyone for your interest and op...@apereo.org for the space,

.\.\att

After some great conversations at Open Apereo 2017 I'd like to invite anyone involved in an Apereo project to continue the conversation about accessibility.

Please let me know what time you might be available in our Doodle poll http://doodle.com/poll/eq9g5yqyw2kgxcmm

Initially, I'd suggest we talk about helping our users create accessible content and the challenge of captions (alternatives to time based media).

We can figure out the technology after we figure out the date, but suggestions are welcome at any time.

If you can, please pass this along to any Apereo project that you might think wouldn't otherwise learn about this community of interest.

Thanks everyone for your interest and participation!
