Hi folks,

We have discussed moving repos around over the years. We are about ready to kick the effort off.

Please note that moving repos will impact your local remote URL. You will need to edit them to reference their new location.

Also note, while this is going to be a big shuffle you should expect repo URL changes to happen on occasion as projects move from contribution, to official support, to the attic.

We will provide more details in a reply to this email.

While I suggested April Fools, err 1st, we would like to perform this change sooner. Does anyone have an objection to this week, FEBRUARY 12-14 2021?

+1

Although the initial timeframe has come and gone, I have no objections.

The GitHub documentation doesn't call out an expiration on redirects, so we should be okay

Are there any portlets or other projects that should go directly to the uPortal-attic? Maybe we leave that for another day?

As the projects are moved, you can update the URL in your local clones with the following (origin by be upstream):

$ git remote set-url origin new_url

Hi folks,

My wrist is sore from moving all the repos to https://github.com/uPortal-project/ but it's done.

I am also moving a few repos from uPortal-contrib to this space since the modules are in either active use or are part of the QuickStart bundle.

Please feel free to review the repos and reply with any projects that should be retired to uPortal-attic (i.e. they have not been actively developed in several years).

Have a great evening,
-bjagg

Thanks, Benito!

So long, Jasig, you were a great home for our repos for so long – but now we are all under the same uPortal umbrella!
