Hi folks,

I was hoping to have a new release out early this week; however, we are moving through bugs and enhancements at a decent clip. Going to hold off on the next release for a few more days to get 3-4 more items merged.

Enhancements targeted for this next release
- Toggle JavaScript Web Token (JWT) encryption (includes a bug fix)
- Property to change the JWS signature algorithm
- Support multiple properties sets in a single set of files for different clusters (e.g. dev, test, prod)
- Add session refresh support to APIs
- Move CAS client configuration out of web.xml to Spring context for easier configuration
- Fix history in Portal Activity Portlet

Best,

Thanks Benito for these improvments !

For this part: "Support multiple properties sets in a single set of files for different clusters (e.g. dev, test, prod)" what is the need ? I don't understand as when externalizing properties with PORTAL_HOME env property you can switch easily from one directory to an other (it's what I do from my different env). Else with CAS, something that I find well, there is a system that permit to sync with a git repository on a branch.

Regards,

Julien

Hi Julien,

It is for convenience. Instead of deployers having to track a separate version of uPortal.properties, global.properties, etc. for each environment, they can now track a single one of those with the values set up for all their clusters in the appropriate files.

It is not a big enhancement; however, it was a client customization that might help others. No change is required if you are fine with how things are.

Best,
