xAPI and LRS

We are looking into the possibility of adding xAPI into VClass.  We noticed the was pluggin development 12 years ago, but very little since.  It is also not in the Admin help guide.  Has there been any further development in using xAPI?

I'm not aware of any further development beyond https://github.com/Apereo-Learning-Analytics-Initiative/SakaiXAPI-Provider

I think LRS was part of those class ed-tech hype/disappointment cycles. Everyone could see the dream of shuttling all of your events from 100 campus systems into the LRS, but very few knew what to do once the events landed. Maybe Matthew J has more insight into the field.
