attribute alias in CAS 5?

Is there a way in CAS 5.0.5 to have the same LDAP attribute mapped to multiple CAS attributes? 

For example, I tried setting this in my cas.properties, but now it won't even return the uid attribute:

cas.authn.ldap[0].principalAttributeList=displayName,uid,uid:UDC_IDENTIFIER

Thanks for any suggestions.
