Hi all,

This post is a suggestion toward adding redirection link to CAS overlay inside the deprecated "cas-webapp-docker" https://github.com/apereo/cas-webapp-docker

Yesterday I want to try out CAS for docker for the first time, and stumble across the deprecated repository https://github.com/apereo/cas-webapp-docker

The problem is, here are no clear link as to where the latest Docker for CAS goes, so I kept using the deprecated library for the whole day.

It is not until today that I stumble across this link here: https://apereo.github.io/2019/06/07/610rc4-release/#cas-docker-deployments, that I know that docker for CAS have been moved to https://github.com/apereo/cas-overlay-template

It is awesome that now docker is located inside cas overlay :)

However, I would like to suggest to add an redirection link posted at https://github.com/apereo/cas-webapp-docker to CAS overlay, so it make it clear people should migrate to CAS overlay respository for CAS docker. Thanks!

Cheers,
- Andy

Hello,

I just submitted a pull request to update the "logout's default configuration": https://github.com/crpeck/cas-overlay-docker/pull/7

Let me know how it goes :-)

Hi Pol,

Thanks for you suggestion :)

My motive is to use official repository if possible, since my organization kind of stumble about using personal repository unless neccesary...

Nevertheless, let me check it out and see how it goes, thanks :D

Cheers!

It's using the official repo actually, it's just made easier to use locally.

I'm not a JAVA guy at all and I'm using this to have a local official CAS server that I can spawn in 2 minutes.

Now that I have my local CAS server, I can build a new PHP cas client, and I'm so far super happy.
