Apache 2.4 with Mod_auth_CAS session timeouts before setting value.

Hi Everyone,

I'm pulling my hair out here.  We run Cognos and front-end it with Apache 2.4.  We've CASified the application by using mod_auth_cas.  We've compiled from source and installed.  Our timeouts are set as follows in the auth_cas.conf. 

CASIdleTimeout 7200
CASTimeout 28800

Our ticket timeouts in CAS are all set to two hours. 

The issue we're facing is that a session will time out after one hour (or sometimes sooner) even though everything we have is set to at least two hours.  When the timeout occurs and we have debugging turned out, we see entries in the logs that a cookie is corrupt.  I've confirmed that is happening because the cookie isn't present at all.

When we test this issue with little traffic on a web server, it's hard to reproduce.  This has made us think the issue may be due to user load, cache size, etc.

Has anyone seem this type of behavior?  If so, do you have any idea what I can try to resolve it?
