Surrogate Ldap GUI error

Can anyone tell me how to prevent an error during GUI surrogate login? The error happens when the person attempting to log in does not have any surrogate accounts available. I would like them to just pass through as themselves instead of getting an error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
