Chaining multiple MFA providers

I have a requirement which requires to have 2 MFA providers to be called sequentially. I have the 2 MFA's designed but I'm not sure how to get both of them triggered. Right now the one with the higher rank is getting triggered as stated in the documentation.

The only information that I can find regarding this issue in the documentation is:

"If you have a need to string along multiple factors together one after another, it is likely that you may need to adjust and extend the existing authentication workflows to deliver the use case."

Can someone point me towards an example which could help me with this?
