Calling all paleoartists! 🎨 The Paleontological Society is holding an art competition! We are searching for designs that capture the spirit of the Paleontological Society. Winners 🏆 will receive yearlong membership, recognition across our social media profiles, and their design on swag or merch. 👕🛍️ We will also celebrate and credit the winners on our website and at the annual GSA meeting. All members are welcome to submit their entry via email to stude...@paleosoc.org by May 15th.
-
Eligibility: Members of all levels are encouraged to submit a design.
-
Requirements: Designs should be simple, original works (no AI or clip-art) with square dimensions and be submitted at the highest resolution possible. We encourage submitters to implement the text “Paleontological Society” but it is not required. Keep in mind that designs will be reproduced on some swag in single color. The Paleontological Society reserves the right to use submitted art for marketing and promotion. Images should be submitted as .PNG, .JPEG, or .TIFF files. Paleo Society Distinguished Lecturers make their visits available on an expenses-only basis; no honorarium is required. The Society will work with the local institution to partially, or sometimes fully, offset speaker’s travel to give lectures. Those institutions with available funding for visitors and willing to fully cover the Distinguished Lecturer visit are encouraged to do so; this allows to maximize the reach of the PS Funds that can be available to other participants.
- See this year's schedule so far on our Blog.
- We really do love our amazing PS members, and want to showcase more of our community! Do you (or a student!) want to be featured in a #MemberMonday post? You can complete this short survey, upload a photo, and our social media team will take it from there!
