Dear colleagues and friends,
We are pleased to share with you the first circular for the upcoming Secondary Adaptations of Tetrapods to Life in Water (SECAD) meeting. The 11th edition of the conference will take place from 30 August to 3 September 2027 in Lima, the capital city of Peru.
Located on the Pacific coast of South America, Lima is a major cultural, gastronomic and scientific hub, offering easy international access, a rich historical heritage, and a vibrant academic community. Peru itself is renowned for its exceptional geological record and biodiversity, making it a particularly fitting setting for discussions on the evolution and adaptation of tetrapods to aquatic environments.
