In case you are interested, the following new public comment proceedings are open for input:

 

Description: ICANN is seeking community input on a proposal to formalize the need to pause Specific Reviews in the ICANN Bylaws (Article 4, Section 4.6). The Transition Article draft includes proposed timeline and parameters surrounding the pause.

Description: ICANN is seeking community input on proposed Fundamental Bylaws Amendments to implement recommendations of the second IANA Naming Function Review (IFR) and the most recent Customer Standing Committee (CSC) Effectiveness Review. The proposed amendments address a cadence update for both Reviews and a membership update for CSC. ICANN also seeks input on the proposal to streamline the CSC’s Charter.

Description: ICANN seeks public comment on the proposed DNS root zone Key Signing Key (Root KSK) algorithm rollover. The proposal details a multi-year implementation plan, beginning with the generation of a new ECDSA Root KSK in 2027 and retirement of the RSA Root KSK in 2029.

Description: ICANN is seeking input on gaps or implementation challenges for the proposed guidelines (developed by the Universal Acceptance (UA) Expert Working Group (EWG)) on identifying strategic and practical mechanisms for encouraging UA adoption across a diverse set of stakeholders. ICANN also seeks feedback on how these guidelines should be prioritized for implementation.

Description: ICANN org seeks input on the Name Collision Procedure documentation for Initial Assessment, Temporary Delegation, and High-Risk String Mitigation Plan Assessment. The procedures outline how Name Collision assessments will be carried out for applied-for strings in the New Generic Top-Level Domains (gTLD) Program: 2026 Round.
