I have been trying to prepare slide presentations with sound that can be moved over to M/S and Apple computers.

So far I have been using LibreOffice Impress that (in theory) can export to a M/S Office compatible presentation. My experience has been that although the slides run correctly the sound is a real problem.

Have anybody found a solution to this?

Hi David,

I'll be giving a talk on this topic at LinuxFest Northwest
on 2019 April 28 - 13:45 in Bellingham.

The link is:
https://linuxfestnorthwest.org/conferences/2019/program/proposals/262

The title is:
ByStar Autonomous Content Collaborative-Authorship, Generation, Publication, and Distribution Software And Services
With XeLaTeX, HeVeA and Reveal.js

The slides that I'll be using for that
presentation are at:
http://www.by-star.net/PLPC/180038

All the figures are in-fact done with LibreOffice
Impress (as you mentioned). Audio (Voice-Over) is
captured with audacity. Then everything is weaved
together with LaTeX (beamer) through Emacs and
org-mode. The web delivery is based on latex
conversion to html with HeVeA. The web disposition
is then done using Reveal.js. And the end web
delivery is autonomous. I claim that in terms of
end capability, what I have put together surpasses
all its proprietary competitors.

What is unique in our approach is our emphasis on
conviviality of our tools as opposed to
superficial ease of use.

In the end, what we can produce is best of breed.

As an example of what can be produced, consider
the "ByStar Digital Ecosystem" presentation:
http://web.by-star.net/lcnt/PLPC/180054/current/pres/PLPC-180054-pres.html

Turn on your speaker and start the
presentation by activating the play icon.
Let us narrate to you our story with
text, images, sound, videos, screen-casts and web
pointers.

Go through it from beginning to end. Or jump
through the slides, or click on the page number to
get a table of content. You can of course do all
of that on your phone as well. Put your car's
speaker on bluetooth and enjoy the hands-off
narration during your commute.

Or if you want that same presentation in pdf form
for printing, go to the access page:
http://www.by-star.net/PLPC/180054

The way that all the pieces fit together is
complex and it is not my goal at this time to
deliver these capabilities to you. My goal is to
show my choices of components and pass along my
integration strategy.

Best,
