gslug summer meetings

Hiya,

gslug meets 2019June11 at North Seattle College but we must find different location for July, August, September.

Does anyone have suggestions for no cost room from 12-3 or 12-4 with wireless access, use of a screen and projector with VGA and/or HDMI, reasonable parking, and space for 30-50 attendees?

If not, we have several alternatives.

1.  not have J, A, S meetings but wait until October when we hope to get       back to NSC 

2.  go to west Seattle Linux Users meeting in Fauntleroy on Saturdays J,       A, S but at 9AM -noon

3.  try again to get room at Razzis Pizzeria on Greenwood Ave. N. on #5   bus line bur we have to buy our own food and/or drink

Please come to June meeting and/or reply to list with suggestions or offers.  Thanks.

I presume the 'not going to visit the Eastside' bias still applies, but
just in case:

Black Lodge Research hackerspace is an option, I am a keyholder.

It is located in Redmond, near the entrance to Marymoor Park, a few
thousand feet from the new Redmond Community Center.

Parking is not a problem. Public transit is not directly to the
building, the nearest KCMetro access is Bear Creek P&R, and then a
~0.8mile walk. Carpooling from Westside to Eastside for regular GSLUG
users might be an option.

We have a classroom with about 30person max capacity, and HDMI format.
If we can get our A/V person involved, we can live-stream or just upload
the non-live video to Youtube. You can see the classroom from some of
the previous talks of the DC206 Meeting (206-area DEF CON community
monthly meetings):

Classroom aside, we also have a hackerspace/makerspace, a fridge with
beer and hard cider, and a BBQ. :-)

Salt has visited the place, and can give more feedback on BLR.

I have been busy so am just encouraging people to vote for what they want.

1) no meeting for July

2) west seattle linux user group meetup in Fauntleroy YMCA on either July 6 or July 20

          I went to meeting in July and met some interesting folk.  "C" bus stops there 

3) BlackLodge on eastside near Marymoor Park but someone will have to contact Lee Fisher 

4) Razzis Pizzeria Greenwood (has vegan menu), Rte. 5 busline; screen there requires HDMI not VGA

5) OR someone can offer to organize a different location on July 13 noon to 3 or 4

I'll be gone for a few days myself so can't organize for July.  Please vote early so decision can be made by July 10.  Thanks.

Has anything been resolved regarding July's meeting?   I would like to update the gslug.org site - if only to say that there will be no meeting this month, or this summer if that's the case.
