Weird system, mutant os part ubuntu part pop os

I removed a lot of the pop os packages I thought were causing issues and may have gone too far, now I think I have more of an Ubuntu setup, I actually may have a more unstable system now but at least I added a new CPU and bios! The issue now is repairing to a full distro. When I try to apt upgrade I get warnings that I am missing dependencies. not sure how to add these back. Also, my kernel is probably Ubuntu, not sure. I also one way or another cleared up the issue of not being able to shutdown, for now, I think that is fixed.
