Dear members of the Animal Behavior Society,
I am Ineke Knot, a student taking my master's degree in Biology in Groningen, the Netherlands. For this master I have to do two research projects. I've finished my first research project in animal ecology and I am looking for a second one abroad with larger mammals.
My most recent projects have mainly been devoted to birds, but two months ago my desire to work with (large) mammals was revived after reading an interesting article about social interactions in lions. I am looking for scientific research with field work, to increase my experience with field work. Furthermore, I'd picture myself in a research group which focuses on behavioural ecology, ideally one that contributes to evidence-based nature conservation. I am looking for an internship from approximately February 2014 onwards for a period of 5-6 months (including writing a report). I hope to hear from you if you have any ideas about internship opportunities.

Kind regards,
Ineke Knot
