Field courses in ecology, primatology, and behavior
Sepela Field Programs is now accepting applications for our 2016 field courses. All 2016 field courses will take place in South Africa, where students will stay at research sites, reserves, and similar locations. All field courses are based on immersive learning and students will learn and practice methods in their respective fields. Courses will also include a bush skills training component that will teach students how to safely navigate in the bush, identify wildlife tracks and signs, and hike safely in the habitats of wild animals. Further, three of the courses include Wilderness First Aid training and certification.

Field Photography
Topics and methods included in these courses that may be of interest to ABS members and their students include: collection of systematic behavioral data, application of animal behavior to field skills and field safety, animal behavior, wildlife ecology, primates, collection of vegetation data, habitat analysis, wildlife camera traps, etc.
