The Department of Psychology at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in behavioral neuroscience to build upon existing strengths in traditional neuroscience research, developmental psychology, and/or one or more quantitative methods. We are particularly interested in candidates who use cutting edge approaches to address key problems in behavioral neuroscience, especially learning/memory, reproductive/maternal behavior, sexual differentiation, or emotion (including stress or aggression), but all areas of behavioral neuroscience will be considered. Applicants are expected to have an active, visible research program, to publish theoretical and empirical research in top-tier journals, and to contribute to both graduate and undergraduate supervision and instruction. A strong potential for external funding is required. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in psychology or a related field with some postdoctoral experience.
