I anticipate accepting one or two new graduate students in the coming year. The new students will study interactive singing in Adelaide’s warbler at my field site in western Puerto Rico.  In addition to field work, our research will include computer modeling and bioacoustic, statistical, and genetic analysis. My lab is supported by an NSERC Discovery Grant, which can help offset some research costs for graduate students. The Department of Psychology has strengths in evolutionary, comparative, and cognitive psychology. Many of our faculty members study the behavior of non-human animals, including songbirds, monkeys, and cephalopods. The new students will begin courses in either January or September, 2016, and conduct their first field season in the summer of 2016.  Interested? Have a look at the links below, then email me at david...@uleth.ca.
