New journal: Animal Sentience
The Humane Society Institute for Science and Policy (HSISP) in Washington, DC is pleased to announce Animal Sentience (ASent), a peer-reviewed, pluridisciplinary journal devoted to the study of animal feelings (sentience).
ASent is online and open-access (with no subscription or publication fees). All accepted articles will also be accorded Open peer Commentary across disciplines.
Scientists, scholars and practitioners in all disciplines concerned with sentience are invited to submit work on any aspect of the nature of and capacity for feeling in any species: empirical studies, comparative analyses and theoretical modeling as well as ethical and legal implications and applications are all potentially relevant.
