The Barber lab at Boise State University seeks an MS graduate student to work on bat-moth interactions. A Teaching Assistantship and summer RA salary are available for this post. The work will focus on laboratory investigations (3D high-speed videography) of bat-moth battles and opportunities for fieldwork in Borneo or French Guiana will be available. The project may include collaborative genomic work and travel to the Kawahara lab at the University of Florida. Ultimate goals include understanding the function and evolution of anti-bat strategies in moths.

Start date will be either Jan (Spring 2015) or August (Fall 2015) with a preference towards students who can begin graduate work in Jan. Motivated students are encouraged to send in their applications as soon as possible.

To apply send 1) a CV 2) GRE scores 3) contact information for 3 references and 4) a brief description of your interest in this area of research to Brian Leavell (Sensory Ecology lab manager): brianl...@boisestate.edu
