The Konrad Lorenz Institute Ethology is part of the Department of Integrative Biology and Evolution, and it is located in the foothills of Vienna, in the Vienna woods (and yet only 30 min from the city center using the city's outstanding public transport). We have an international scientific community and so while German is useful, it isn't necessary (and Vienna is very international, and English is widley spoken). We have unusual facilities for studying wild house mice, fish and birds, a molecular genetics laboratory, and a chemistry laboratory (headed by Jae Kwak, who specializes on mouse chemical signals).
Please contact me if you are interested in applying and joining my group (
dusti...@vetmeduni.ac.at), and formal applications should be sent to the address in the attached advertisement.
