capture a snapshot of the CameraXViewfinder

How can I capture a snapshot of the Viewfinder in CameraX to prevent a black screen during use case rebinding? I know PreviewView  offers getBitmap for this purpose, but we're using the CameraXViewfinder and need a similar solution to maintain a non-black preview during transitions.

This is currently unsupported.
