Are there any plans to implement functionality that will make sure a video file can "survive" an instant termination (kill the app in AS) of the app during a video recording?

By "survive" I mean that the video will either always be playable even if the video recording abruptly stops, or if it can easily be restored after the app session is restored.

This is the last functionality that we need to replace our current camera code with CameraX. Our current camera code is based on the open source project Open Camera (which have the functionality to kill the app and still end up with a playable video file).

Thanks for your feedback. I've turned this post into a feature request ticket in our system and cc'ed you. We will add this in to the pipeline and discuss with team internally. Since there are still a lot of work on the plate, we will update the status to you once we have more information. Thanks!
