Hi all, how do you manage to connect a USB bluetooth adapter to AAOS emulator? Especially for v11. Thank you!

Hello, thanks a lot. We are trying to connect a phone to the AAOS emulator via Bluetooth, so we can emulate call-related features, such as making, answering, and declining a call, and to synchronize contacts, favorites, and recent, from the phone to the emulator. However, we are unable to get the AAOS emulator to recognize the USB Bluetooth adapter. It seems that the USB host feature isn’t enabled, hence unable to do any call-related features. How can I enable the USB host feature on the AAOS emulator, or is there another way to do the call-related features I mentioned above? Thanks again!

Thanks for the clarification, and currently the feature isn't supported yet in AAOS emulators, and is a commonly requested one. We will look into supporting this in the future & will update this thread when we have something to share on this topic.

We published this article that addresses your request. Please try it out - let us know if you have any feedback.
https://source.android.com/devices/automotive/start/passthrough

The publicly available Android Automotive system images via Android Studio don't support this feature (usb passthrough) yet, so if you are building custom system images, then you can follow along the article to build in support for usb passthrough and the thus get BT working on a connected device.
