Using Car UI library with Android Studio

Is there a way to develop AAOS applications with Car UI lib using Android Studio? Is the library available and can be added locally as a dependency ?

I'm looking for an easier way to build an app outside of the AAOS source tree like  the usual  development on a mobile device.
