Upgrade to Anaconda Navigator 2.1.0 is a nightmare

I have Googled long and hard and tried everything, from the Navigator and from the Anaconda Prompt. When I tried from the Navigator the update will start and then keep going and going for hours. When I tried from the prompt the update finishes fine, but when a launch the Navigator it is still the old version "strongly recommending" me to upgrade.

Short of uninstalling and reinstalling is there anything I can do to get upgraded?
