Hey all!

In this developer preview email we're going to highlight some of the updates to interactive components that are coming up in the following weeks.

Info dialog
In order to give users more transparency on how stories handle the interactive components' data, we will be adding an information dialog hidden under an info icon on the components that interact with a backend, giving users the possibility to know where their data is going to go.

Backend owners can provide extra information to populate the dialog by following the instructions on the documentation.

New components: sliders and image quizzes/polls
We're also excited to announce we're getting close to releasing new interactive components: slidersimage quizzes and image polls. We're still finalizing the features, documentation and examples, but the components can already be added to stories similarly to other interactive components.

Sliders allow users to select a specific value from a range, offering more granular controls over the options. By default, the slider will be configured as a percentage selection (ranging from 0 to 100% inclusive), but it's possible to provide an emoji that will grow or shrink depending on the location where the user slides the thumb. More info to come in the official release.

Image quizzes / polls allow creators to generate more immersive quizzes and polls by offering images to select instead of text. They can be mixed and matched with regular quizzes / polls to contribute towards a percentage or categorical results component (quizzes can interact with percentage results and polls can interact with categorical results, but a quiz and a poll won't interact with the same results component, just like before). The backend integration for these two components are similar to regular quizzes and polls.

This rounds up the updates to interactive components for now.

As always, feel free to reach out to us on Github or Slack via the #amp-story channel with any questions, feedback or requests.

Best,

Matias
