Hi All,
Please join us, on Tuesday 3/25 at 4:30pm in SCCE E110, for a talk part of the Data Science Initiative speaker series.
Speaker: Sacha Servan-Schreiber (MIT)
Title: On-The-Fly Secure Computation
Abstract:
Secure computation allows multiple parties to compute functions over their private inputs without revealing anything beyond the output. This talk will focus on different techniques for secure computation, and introduce new techniques for "on-the-fly" secure computation: secure computation protocols that require minimal interaction between parties and no special setup assumptions.
Such on-the-fly protocols are ideal for real-world deployments where parties can drop out and network connections can be unreliable. These approaches promise to unlock data processing between parties who cannot reveal their raw data to one another due to confidentiality, privacy, or regulatory concerns. The talk will cover new theoretical frameworks and practical implementations that advance both the theory and practice of secure computation tools.
Light fancy refreshments will be served before the talk.
