State Library of Ohio and OhioNet recently announced
Library Leadership Ohio (LLO) 2026. LLO supports great libraries by developing great leaders. Offering exceptional programs focused on personal development and transferable leadership skills, LLO fosters connections
and collaboration within Ohio’s library community.
Library Leadership Ohio will be held July 21-23 at the Hocking Hills State Park Lodge & Conference Center, in Logan, Ohio. Applications for the program opened Wednesday, February 18. The event will be facilitated by OhioNet and the State Library of Ohio. A one-hour virtual information session about Library Leadership Ohio will be held on February 23 at 3:30 pm EST. Register for the information session.
Library Leadership Ohio 2026 will cultivate an opportunity for participants to refine skills, reflect on leadership values and goals, and develop a supportive professional network. Topics will include examining personal strengths, reflecting on leadership styles and values, determining personal goals for leadership development, participating in peer mentorship, cultivating wellbeing, and developing skills to thrive in today’s dynamic library environment.
LLO welcomes library staff currently working in public, school, special, and academic libraries; all are eligible to apply. The LLO selection committee is seeking individuals with a commitment to the profession; the potential to lead and innovate in their current position and beyond; a passion for libraries; and willingness to explore the impact they can have in their communities.
