📢 CALL FOR PAPERS
The ASIMOV 2026 Workshop invites contributions on designing socially intelligent robots capable of understanding and adapting to human mental models. Achieving natural and effective human–robot interaction requires integrating theory of mind into robotics—an area still largely unexplored. Bringing together insights from robotics, AI, psychology, and philosophy, the workshop addresses key challenges as social robots expand into domains like healthcare and education, where ethical concerns, safety, and trust remain critical. The workshop welcomes researchers, practitioners, and students in robotics, AI, and HRI, with particular encouragement for PhD students and early-career researchers. It provides a collaborative platform to discuss emerging ideas in adaptive interaction, user modeling, and socially intelligent robotics.
TOPICS OF INTEREST (not limited to…)
• Mental models in HRI
• Human-aware perception–action loops
• Embodied intelligence and symbiotic HRI
• Long-term and socially-aware interaction and adaptation
• Cognitive model adaptation
• Emotion, intention, and affect recognition
• Empathy and Theory of Mind
• Multimodal interaction
• Adaptive and personalized robot behavior
• Generative and affect-aware language models
• Physiological monitoring and BCI-based interaction
• Explainable AI and evaluation metrics
• Ethics, trust, safety, and security in HRI
