Greetings from the French Alps!
Are you a MSc Student, a PhD Candidate or a Research Fellow interested in topics related to intelligent social robots? You should check this out.
We are happy to let you know that the registration is now open for the Winter School on Social Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Multimedia (SoRAIM 2026), which we are organizing in Autrans (Vercors, near Grenoble, France) from February 9th to 13th, 2026.
The goal of the school is to bring together researchers from complementary fields—such as computer vision, speech/audio processing, and human-robot interaction—who share a common interest in social robotics. The event aims to foster cross-disciplinary exchange and discussion, both through formal courses and informal interactions. Our Expert Invited Speakers are:
Prof. Magalie Ochs (social and affective signal processing),
Prof. Silvia Rossi (human-robot interaction and social robotics),
Prof. Éva Székely (conversational speech synthesis),
Dr. Christian Wolf (computer vision (and beyond) for robot/social navigation),
Prof. João Magalhães (multi-modal multi-person dialogue),
Dr. Maribel Pino (experimental psychology and social robotics).
Set in the beautiful Vercors mountains, the school takes place in Autrans, a scenic and easily accessible location from Grenoble, offering many opportunities for outdoor activities and informal networking in a relaxed atmosphere (including a SPA).
The registration fees (700€ before Dec 9th) include:
Access to conference sessions,
Coffee breaks,
Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) from Monday 3PM to Friday 2PM,
Accommodation from Monday 9th to Friday 13th,
Bus from Grenoble to the place of the event (Escandille, Autrans).
(You should secure travel to Grenoble on your own)
Do not miss this opportunity to engage in wonderful scientific discussions with experts in a variety of fields, to meet new colleagues, and to share an inspiring week with other passionate research fellows!
