EurAI invites proposals to host the 26th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI-23) and the 28th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI-25).

 

At the latest EurAI General Assembly it was approved that ECAI would become an annual conference and that the 27th European Conference on Artificial Intelligence (ECAI-24) will be celebrated in the city of Santiago de Compostela where ECAI-20 should have been celebrated had the pandemic not occurred.

 

The European Conferences on Artificial Intelligence are organized by EurAI jointly with one of its member associations. The proposals may be evaluated by the EurAI board in order to provide feedback, hence, the sooner they are submitted, the better. The final selection of the sites for ECAI-23 and ECAI-25 will be made at EurAI’s next General Assembly on 26 October 2021, 16:00 CEST. Proponents are expected to present their bid at the General Assembly.

  

Previous ECAI conferences were held at Brighton (1974), Edinburgh (1976), Hamburg (1978), Amsterdam (1980), Orsay (1982), Pisa (1984), Brighton (1986), Munich (1988), Stockholm (1990), Vienna (1992), Amsterdam (1994), Budapest (1996), Brighton (1998), Berlin (2000), Lyon (2002), Valencia (2004), Riva del Garda (2006), Patras (2008), Lisbon (2010), Montpellier (2012), Prague (2014), The Hague (2016), Stockholm (jointly with IJCAI, 2018), and online (2020). ECAI-22 will take place in Vienna (jointly with IJCAI).

 

Any member society of EurAI may submit a bid to EurAI for organizing ECAI-23 or ECAI-25.

 

TIMETABLE

 

The timetable is as follows:

 

  30 September 2021: deadline for submission of bids

  26 October 2021: presentation of bids & selection at EurAI General Assembly
