I'm pleased to invite you to submit a paper to the 17th International Conference on Social Robotics + AI (https://icsr2025.eu), which will be held in Naples, Italy, from September 10th to 12th, 2025.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Emotivation at the core: Empowering social robots to inspire and connect”.
The conference topics include (but are not limited to):
* Collaborative robots in social and assistive applications
* Human-robot interaction, collaboration, and multimodality
* Affective and cognitive sciences for socially interactive robots
* Context awareness, expectation, intention understanding, and mutual understanding
* Control architectures and software frameworks for social robotics
* Explainable Human Robot Interaction (HRI)
* Symbiotic HRI
* Mutual Understanding and ToM in HRI
* Interaction and collaboration among robots, humans, and environments
* Personal and assistive robots for the home, healthcare, and education
* Robots for entertainment, gaming, and real-life applications (e.g., HRI in-the-wild)
* Robots with personality, human-like traits, and emotion modeling
* Social acceptance, trust, explainability, and learnability in robotic systems
* Ethical considerations and safety in human-centered robotics
* Socially assistive robots for improving QoL and supporting the elderly and disabled

Submission Guidelines
All papers will be submitted and reviewed via the OCS submission system (link to be available soon). Authors can submit the complete article in PDF format following Springer’s author’s guidelines either for LaTex or Word. Springer’s proceedings LaTeX templates are also available in Overleaf.
Publication
The Proceedings of ICSR 2025 will be published by Springer International Publishing as part of the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series (LNAI), a topical subseries of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). The proceedings of the conference are indexed by EI Compendex, SpringerLink, Scopus, and more.
